In Brazil, local bank transfers in Brazilian Reals (BRL) are primarily conducted via Pix, the Central Bank's instant payment system.

Account Format

Pix is the instant transfer method and is currently the most widely used. To send a Pix, the payer only needs the beneficiary's "Pix key".

A Pix key is an alias the beneficiary links to their bank account. It can be:
